Cultural Days of Bontida

The Cultural Days of Bontida which take place in the Banffy castle last for a weekend and the events have become ever more popular since its inception in 2002. All the nationalities who live around here take part: Romanians, Hungarians and Rroma (Gypsy) people as well with their specific music and dance.
The festival is organized on an annual basis on the last weekend of the month of August with the purpose of promoting and publicizing the castle and also the socializing of the concept of historical monument of worldwide proportions. There concerts of different kinds of music like: easy listening, blues, jazz, folk, popular music and classical music. Craft workshops are being organized as well which include beadworks, sowings, woodcarving and pottery. There is also an antique fair. (heritagetraining-banffycastle.org)
